Big Hooray Bluegrass

Band leader, singer, and guitar player, Travis Stinson, is a Nashville, TN native. After attending CU, Boulder, he returned to Nashville to embark on his music career. His band, Volunteer String Band, regularly played on Lower Broadway at Layla’s and Bootlegger’s Inn, Bluegrass Underground, Music City Roots, The Caverns, and Loveless Cafe. They performed at the Bonnaroo Music and Art Fest, private parties, gala events, weddings, and venues throughout the Southeast. He was an announcer at Bluegrass Underground, brand ambassador at Music City Roots, and performed on the Grand Ole Opry stage and Late Show With David Letterman. He relocated to Golden, CO a few years ago and is active in local bluegrass picking groups and performs with Big Hooray Bluegrass at breweries, private parties, corporate events, and festivals. Band members include a cross-section of talented Front Range musicians and singers who play a mix of original, traditional, and contemporary cover tunes: James Armington, banjo; Charles Rourke, upright bass; Scott Slay, mandolin, and Jonah Chilton, fiddle. It’s always a big time with Big Hooray Bluegrass!
