The Badly Bent
The Badly Bent are no strangers to the Durango Bluegrass Meltdown. Their favorite festival of the year, 2023, marks their 20th year performing. The Badly Bent comprises Cindi Cone, fiddle and vocals; Patrick Dressen, guitar and vocals; Mark Epstein, banjo and vocals; Guy Ewing, bass; and Joel Denman, mandolin and fiddle. This band has been performing throughout the southwest and is happy to be returning to the Meltdown again.
The band recently released its 3rd recording project, “Too Late To Care.” A special thanks to Scott ‘Scooter’ Smith for his friendship, ears, and hard work in helping us to make that happen.
The Badly Bent, in the words of Bryant Liggett, “has been a mainstay in the local bluegrass scene for over 20 years.” The band has had a wide variety of member musicians through the years and has been able to reimagine itself with each new configuration. The Badly Bent for 2023 is no exception!
“We are excited to be a part of the Meltdown in Durango.” From Cindi, Patrick, Mark, Guy, and Joel, “Thanks to all our loyal friends and fans who have stuck with us for over two decades.”
